Man Rapes Woman After Blackmailing her In Kanpur Dehat, India


A police complaint was lodged against a man (Rohit alias) for allegedly raping a woman after blackmailing her in the Mangalpur area of Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The woman accused the man of secretly filming her while she was taking a bath, and later, using the video to blackmail her into a sexual relationship.

According to a report, On Thursday, A Police complaint was made against a man for raping a woman after Blackmailing her in Mangalpur in the area of Kanpur Dehat of Uttar pradesh.

According to the woman, She said that the man was secretly filing her while she was taking her bath and later using the video to blackmail her into a Sexual relationship.

From the reports gathered from Times of India, the man allegedly recorded a video of the woman while she was taking a bath in May this year. He then went on to threaten her that he would share the video on social media platforms if she did not have sex with him. When the woman tried to resist, the man threatened her with a gun at her, and then allegedly raped her.

The man has been identified as Rohit alias. He lives in the same area where the survivor lives with her in-laws at a village under Mangalpur police station in the Kanpur Dehat district. The woman’s husband works in a private firm in New Delhi.

The woman went on to inform her husband about the incident, who came back from New Delhi and filed a police complaint at the local police station. However, the local police did not take any action based on the complaint, reported Times Now.

Subsequently, the couple approached the court and file a case, following which the police lodged a complaint against the accused. In the complaint, the woman accused Rohit of blackmailing and raping her. As per the report, the police have begun their investigation into the matter.

The Inspector of Mangalpur Police Station, Amod Kumar Singh said, “On the instructions of the court, an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against Rohit and further investigations are underway in this regard.”
