
According to the Speaker of the House, Alban Bagbin, announced the closure and stated that the legislature would be shut down until March 2 to give way for “disinfection and sanitization of the premises”.
The statement reads;
“I have, in consultation with leadership, decided that sitting of the house be adjourned for three weeks,”.
While Speaking Further, Alban Bagbin said the parliament’s appointments committee will continue to meet to consider the ministerial nominees of President Nana Akufo-Addo who was re-elected in December.
In the Coronavirus reports, Ghana was stated to record 73,003 confirmed cases of coronavirus as 482 death were also recorded.
